This is a good time of year to look over your mid-year MSG-related data.
- To get an overview of recent changes in performance standards and the measurable skill gain (MSG) standard, view the Performance Standards section of the ACLS website. Also, the ACLS webinar on MSG is well-worth watching.
Visit smartthelp.zendesk.com to access three tutorials to help you locate and analyze MSG data and other process data, such as attendance percentage and pre-/post-percentage.
- To identify starting EFLs for each of your students, view the Making use of the Assessment Report (Primary Set) tutorial. From there, you will be able to use the ACLS Excel tool to determine how you are doing with respect to the EFL targets. In March, we should be able to compare aggregate numbers by EFL levels by looking at performance reports in Cognos. Here’s a tutorial on how to do that. But right now, you must use the Assessment Report (Primary Set), which is also the place to get your current pre-/post-percentage. Eventually, this report will include a column for EFLs in SMARTT 3, so you won’t need to insert them yourself.
- To identify the educational and employment statuses of your students, view the How to list your students by their employment status tutorial.
- To track attendance percentage by class, view the Attendance Percentage by Class and Month tutorial.
