Bio

The former president and owner of a multi-state wholesale/retail business and former vice president of a national extended-stay hotel chain, Christopher Stanyer found his true passion in the world of Adult Education as a leader, trainer, and advocate for out-of-school youth and adults. His creation and implementation of the Workforce Alliance Business Skills Series computer training workshops for unemployed and underemployed adults led him to the world of Adult Education (AE), where he served as the AE liaison for the Workforce Alliance, providing training and team-building opportunities to out-of-school youth and adults throughout South Central Kansas.

In 2013, Chris joined NexStep Alliance, a GED preparation partnership between Wichita Area Technical College and Goodwill Industries, where he served as a Transition Coordinator and senior administrator. He was also a devoted student advocate, an active regional community partner, and a planning and implementation resource for Wichita Area Technical College, Goodwill Industries of Kansas, and the Kansas Board of Regents.

Currently, Chris is the director of NexStep Alliance adult education, a national online adjunct instructor for World Education, a city councilman in his hometown of Towanda, Kansas, and a member of the Workforce Alliance One-Stop Advisory Board.
