This facilitated sharing and learning group for new and experienced volunteer coordinators will focus on how to implement effective Conversation Circles. Others in adult education programs who work with volunteers are welcome to join.

  • Volunteer coordinators and other adult education program staff interested in incorporating volunteers into their work
Description

The first part of this group meeting will be a presentation and discussion on planning and managing effective conversation circles. You will hear from Lynne Weintraub, ESL Coordinator at the Jones Library, who will share her experience developing and hosting both in-person and remote Conversation Circles.

You are welcome to bring resources related to these topics along with your questions. The last half hour of the group will be general sharing and discussion about issues that are of interest to you and your colleagues.

We will be meeting via Zoom, and Ruzica Banovic will send you information and the link for joining online a few days prior to the meeting.
