For ten years, Field Notes was a quarterly newsletter that provided a place to share innovative practices, new resources, information and hot topics with the field of adult education. It was published by SABES and funded by the Massachusetts Dept. of Education. Opinions expressed in Field Notes were those of its authors and not necessarily the opinions of SABES or its funders. In 2014, SABES produced four issues of With Literacy in Mind, a professional development bulletin with research summaries, tips, and best practices related to content and program support areas such as math, reading, writing, ESOL, educational leadership, advising, and college and career readiness.

A set of resources and handouts from the National Association of State Directors of Adult Education (NASDAE), including for distance learning, HSE options, organizations and associations, and more.

The Massachusetts Adult Proficiency Tests (MAPT) comprise ABE reading and math tests at several levels. The knowledge and skills measured by the MAPT come directly from the Massachusetts ABE Curriculum Frameworks.
