Dr. Mary Beth Curtis is a subject-matter expert for the national STAR initiative, the lead author of the STAR Tool Kit, and spearheads program evaluation activities for the National STAR Training Network.

Dr. Curtis has taught at Lesley University and the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She was the founding director of Lesley's Center for Special Education, director of the Boys Town Reading Center, and associate director of the Harvard Reading Laboratory.
