PSPDC offers individual and program-based coaching for staff in any role looking to grow and strengthen their practice in any of our key priority areas, which include educational leadership and program management, advising, career pathways, digital literacy, and ADA coordination. We also offer individual coaching and support for those looking to acquire a professional ABE license. If interested, please submit a Contact Us request.

Workplace Education: From Planning to Implementation

Are you working with an employer-partner to plan for a workplace education program? Join us to learn more about making a successful transition from the needs analysis stage to project implementation. New and experienced workplace education program providers will have a chance to share and learn from each other and the facilitator.

Support Staff Sharing and Learning Group

Support Staff Sharing and Learning Groups are peer-facilitated meetings where support staff provide program updates, discuss and troubleshoot common challenges, and share resources, promising practices, and more. This group is open to anyone who works in an adult education program who provides support staff services.

ADA Resources & Training

Creating Disability-Inclusive Programs

Join us for this day-long online workshop that is designed to build your skills to develop disability-inclusive practices within your adult education program. You can expect an interactive and hands-on workshop that will provide you with the time to:

  • Create a written plan for integrating disability inclusive content into your program.
  • Use the Basic Disability Screening for Adult Educators (BDSAE) to increase access to accommodated teaching and learning.

The facilitator will draw from disability studies, disability activism, and the practical knowledge of workforce development to provide a discussion forum and constructive guidance for adult educators who wish to build or enhance disability inclusive practices in their programs.

Advisor Sharing and Learning Groups:

Advising Students With Foreign Credentials: Building Your Skills

Come participate in this interactive session to develop your skills advising students with foreign degrees and credentials. Using real student scenarios, you will apply advising strategies, practice using resources, and employ new knowledge to help students navigate education and career opportunities. This session is ideal for those who have a basic understanding of the topic based either on experience or past professional development. It combines a presentation with group work, skill building exercises, and discussions with our presenters who have years of experience working with this population.

BurlingtonEnglish: Best Practices for Increasing Student Usage

Come learn how to use the many BurlingtonEnglish features and resources available to you to increase student usage and engagement with the platform. BurlingtonEnglish has many built-in resources that make it easy for instructors to track progress and engage learners in monitoring and reaching their learning goals.

Remote Sharing and Learning Group

Implementing any form of remote classes is both rewarding and challenging. Successful implementation requires thoughtful planning and implementation by program leaders, instructors, and other staff members, as well as successful collaboration. Please join us to:

  • Ask the group to help brainstorm ways to strengthen a practice that needs some reworking. 
  • Engage in idea-sharing about new tools or practices.
  • Suggest topics for the group to discuss.
