In this session, Newsela Professional Learning Specialist Patrick Hurley will explore how Newsela and Formative, Newsela's instruction and assessment tool, can be used to collect and organize student activity in the Student Insights feature. This will help you make informed instructional decisions and provide timely, actionable feedback to your students. Formative will also empower you to provide data-informed instruction based on scalable assessments, allowing you to further achieve your instructional goals.
Why Student Insights, and why now? At this point, you should all have at least some data in your Newsela Binders. You will reflect on those data points to develop a plan to target specific reading skills that will end the year strong!
