Enhance your practice with ASG! Advisor Sharing Groups (ASG) are peer-facilitated, statewide meetings where advisors provide program updates, discuss and troubleshoot challenges, and share resources, promising practices, and more. This group is open to anyone who works in an advising role, regardless of their title. Time will be provided in each ASG meeting for statewide discussion and for more targeted conversations organized by region and/or program type, including corrections.

This professional development activity/course is designed for:
The Advisors Sharing Group (ASG) welcomes staff in any role whose work includes student advising. Each meeting of the ASG starts with time for statewide presentations, updates, and sharing; time will also be offered for advisors from the same region or program type (including corrections) to meet.
This year’s core topics include:
- Student Motivation
- Older Student motivation
- Caseload management
- Advisor Burnout
- Mental Health Resources
- Career/Workforce resources
New this year, resources shared in the ASG will be collected, stored, and disseminated through Canvas for reference and discussion both within and beyond the ASG meetings.
Course Format: This meeting is held synchronously using Canvas and Zoom. No formal preparation is required, but participants are strongly encouraged to participate in Canvas discussion boards, share relevant resources and questions.
Course Requirements: To complete this course you must attend the 1.5 hour online meeting in Canvas.
Extending Your Learning: Participants can extend their learning by reviewing and responding to the Advisor Sharing Group Discussion board in Canvas.
