This professional development activity/course is designed for:
Digital Literacy Sharing Group meetings are open to anyone who is interested in digital literacy and technology integration, regardless of their title or role. In each meeting, we address a different topic that is relevant to your work at the moment and what’s happening in your program. Each meeting will include time for general discussion and updates, followed by breakout discussions organized by topic or program type.
The topic of this meeting is Digital Literacy Enhancing Learning Objectives.
Too often, adult education staff may see integrating digital literacy as detracting from their instructional content when it can actually act as a vehicle for learning. Digital tools can enhance classroom work by increasing engagement, teaching digital skills, and reaching more learners. Come to this sharing group ready to share your ideas and questions for merging your content-area learning objectives with digital skill learning opportunities, and learn from other adult educators facing the same challenge.
Format & Requirements: Sharing Group meetings are held live via Zoom, accompanied by a companion discussion board and resource library in Canvas. We ask that you come prepared with resources and questions about the topic, but there is no required asynchronous work. We encourage you to attend as many meetings as you can, but attendance at all meetings is not required.
Access & Support: You will receive instructions for accessing the meeting and Canvas resources from Sovanna Carnell Guyon. If you need technical assistance to access the meeting or Canvas, please contact Sovanna at sovanna_carnellguyon@worlded.org.
