Do you wish you had a clear idea of what an effective math instructor looks like? If so, we have just the thing for you. We have created the Mathematics Proficiency Guide for Teachers of Adult Education as a companion document to the Massachusetts Professional Standards for Teachers of Adult Education. This proficiency guide provides concrete ideas on how to interpret and apply the MA Professional Standards for Teachers in the content areas of math. Together, the MA Professional Standards for Teachers and the Math Proficiency Guide provide a coherent picture of what effective teaching in an adult education classroom looks like.
