Brooke Machado provides consulting and training to adult education teachers around Massachusetts on instruction, curriculum, and implementation of the College and Career Readiness Standards for Adult Education (CCRSAE). She taught both ESOL and ABE from Beginning Literacy to High Adult Secondary Education in and around Boston for 18 years. Brooke has developed curriculum for the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (MA DESE) and the SABES Professional Development Center for ELA. She has served as a lead teacher and trainer for the Massachusetts’ Teaching Skills That Matter in Adult Education (TSTM) initiative and is passionate about designing learning that enhances the lives and well-being of the students with whom she has worked. Brooke holds a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
