ELA is a great pathway for increasing representation in programs. Through this series of sessions with Dr. Carmine Stewart, learn why cultural representation is important to both marginalized and non-marginalized learners; explore the idea of representation in ELA curriculum and instruction; and begin to practice revising ELA lessons to be more culturally responsive. Leave the series with a bank of reading and writing lessons as well as resources for increasing representation and inclusive culture in the adult literacy classroom.
