The ELA C&I PD Center's roundtable series features adult education practitioners sharing ideas, tools, and strategies for teaching in today's world. Each session includes discussion time for structured "shop talk" among the participants—a chance to share ideas, questions, and possible solutions.

The December roundtable features Christina Dennis, teacher at SCALE (Somerville). Christina helps prepare adult learners for four of the five HiSET tests: Reading, Writing, Science, and Social Studies. She uses her background in literacy and special education to incorporate valuable language practices into all lessons, whatever the topic.
Hear from Christina about the practices she incorporates into lessons on different topics, and share your own ideas and questions.
