Teaching with Burlington Core
Overview

Join this session to learn about Burlington Core, a standards-based, blended curriculum developed especially for adult ESOL students. BurlingtonCore meets federal and state funding requirements and integrates important life skills, digital literacy, EL Civics, and workforce readiness to ensure student success. 

This training is for educators in Massachusetts programs that are currently using BurlingtonEnglish.

  • Educators in programs with existing BurlingtonEnglish licenses who want to learn about using Burlington Core
Description

In this session, BurlingtonEnglish representative Ticiana Coleman will introduce you to BurlingtonEnglish’s new General English course. Core is a blended curriculum designed to be used by teachers as an instructional tool and by students for additional reinforcement, in or out of the classroom. Attendees will learn about the many components available for teachers and students and how to choose the appropriate Core course based on their and their students’ learning goals.

    Upon completion of this professional development activity/course, you will be able to:

  • Identify the different components in BurlingtonEnglish Core
