This professional development activity/course is designed for:

  • Both new and experienced advisors
  • Instructors who play a role in education and career planning and who want to share and learn about promising practices and resources
Description

You are invited to join Central MA ABE and ESOL advisors. We will gather virtually via Zoom to share program updates as well as share resources and strategies.

Melissa Daley, director of MassEdCO will talk about their services of providing community-based education and career readiness services for low-income, first generation, underrepresented and marginalized youth and adults in MA.

Also, learn more about MA Adult Literacy with Alexandra Papagno, director of SABES Program PD support and the MA Adult Education Help Desk.

What strategies/resources can we use to support ESL students in Adult Education? Please come prepared to share program highlights, recruitment for upcoming cohorts, and any other opportunities for students in the region.

Please feel free to email lverrett01@northshore.edu before the meeting with questions or to add items to the agenda.

Advisors from any region are welcome to join the Central MA Advisor Sharing Group, though it will focus on Central MA-area programs and concerns. Let us support each other by sharing resources, strategies, and successes.

Several days before the event, Jane Brandt at jane_brandt@worlded.org will send you an email with the Zoom link.
