This session will support your program directors in defining what Newsela implementation looks like with your educators.

  • Program directors and staff who want to increase alignment between Newsela use and instructional priorities
Description

In this session, Newsela Professional Learning Specialist Patrick Hurley will demonstrate administrative actions that increase alignment between Newsela use and instructional priorities in the school community. You will examine research that illustrates the impact of incorporating Newsela into weekly instruction. Leadership will be given time to collaborate and build a plan for the 2024-2025 school year.

Course Requirements: To complete this course, you must attend the 1.5-hour online session with Newsela. It is recommended, but not required, that you complete the three to five hour Newsela Certified Educator (NCE) Program self-paced course before attending this training. Click to begin the NCE.
