The full title of this paper is Culturally Responsive Teaching Practices of Adult Speakers of Other Languages and English for Academic Purposes Teachers. It is the graduate dissertation of Christy Rhodes, an adult educator, and one of the few publications specifically about culturally responsive pedagogy in the AE context. The purpose of the study was to describe the culturally responsive teaching practices of  a sample of adult education teachers in Florida.  It provides a valuable and accessible overview of The Motivational Framework for Culturally Responsive Teaching (Ginsberg & Wlodkowski)  which is a model of culturally responsive teaching developed for higher education. Although the model isn't specific to adult education, Rhodes adapts it for adult education and our diverse student body.
