Use this checklist, based on the Massachusetts Flexible Framework for Implementing Trauma Informed Educational Programs, to guide your program’s self-reflection as it relates to leadership, environment, and access towards creating a trauma informed education program. Areas of self-reflection include: program culture and infrastructure, staff training, links to mental health agencies, academic and non-academic strategies, and school policies and procedures. The evidence that programs present in each of these areas will allow for the conversations and creation of new procedures to increase compliance with trauma informed practices.
