The TABE CLAS-E Writing Scoring Assessment training is the second training in the process to become certified to score the TABE CLAS-E Writing Expository test. Before attending this training, you need to attend the TABE CLAS-E Reading and Writing Administration training or be previously certified to administer the CLAS-E Writing test.
Within three weeks following the training, you are required to successfully complete a scoring activity. This completes requirements to be certified to score the TABE CLAS-E Writing Expository test.
- ACLS funded practitioners who need to be trained as CLAS-E Expository Writing scorers (novice level)

Training time will be spent learning about and using the TABE CLAS-E Writing Scoring Rubrics and MA Supplementary Scoring Guide to score student writings.
Please note: To become certified to SCORE the expository writing component of the CLAS-E Writing test, you MUST ATTEND this training AND the TABE CLAS-E Reading & Writing Administration Training (scheduled prior to this training on 10/4/2016) AND successfully complete the scoring certification test. The scoring certification activity is due within 3 weeks of the training.
