This offering is a facilitated regional sharing and learning group for new and experienced advisors. Agenda topics are selected based on the interests and needs of attendees and emerging issues in the field, and they are posted two weeks before the meeting.
This advisor sharing group meeting is open to those working in the West region.

You are invited to join Western MA ABE and ESOL advisors from across the region as we share and learn from each other with regards to continuing to provide high-quality advising services for adult learners, continuing largely with virtual formats. A topic of focus for this meeting will be supporting students with career readiness goals and exploration.
Brandon Smith, who works with MassHire Holyoke and the Ludlow Area Adult Learning Center, will be highlighting some of the activities that he does with the Work Club at his program. Others are invited to share advising lessons and their experiences with career readiness in the classroom and within their advising practices. Also joining us will be Ruby Reyes from the Massachusetts Adult Literacy Hotline with updates. As this meeting will be for the Western MA region advisors, please also feel free to come prepared to share about program changes, recruitment for upcoming cohorts, and any other various opportunities and resources for students in the region, especially as we prepare to enter the summer months.
