This offering is a facilitated regional sharing and learning group for new and experienced advisors. Agenda topics are selected based on the interests and needs of attendees and emerging issues in the field, and they are posted two weeks before the meeting.
This advisor sharing group meeting is open to those working in the West region.
PLEASE NOTE: All participants will be required to comply with the COVID protocols that will be put into place for this in-person session. Protocols may include wearing a mask for the duration of the training (with breaks). We will email participants with updated protocols, as we get closer to the session date.
- Both new and experienced advisors. Instructors who play a role in education and career planning are also welcome to attend to share and learn about best practices and resources

You are invited to join the Western MA ABE and ESOL advisors as have our first in person meeting for 2023. Let's gather together at Holyoke Community College to share your program's highlights and meet other ABE/ESOL advisors in the region. Learn how other programs are navigating the delivery of advising services and supporting students holistically as they continue to work towards their education and career goals. We will have a guest speaker from the shelter and housing program at Center for Human Development join us to share information on local housing services. Please feel free to email iramos@stcc.edu before the meeting to add items to the agenda or questions. Jane Brandt will email your specific meeting location about a week ahead of time.
