This offering is a facilitated regional sharing and learning group for new and experienced advisors. Agenda topics are selected based on the interests and needs of attendees and emerging issues in the field, and they are posted two weeks before the meeting.
This advisor sharing group meeting will be hosted by Boston and Southeast region. While this sharing group has been primarily for those in a specific region, now that all meetings are online, some meetings (like this one) are open to all.
- Both new and experienced advisors. Instructors who play a role in education and career planning are also welcome to attend to share and learn about best practices and resources

There will be four guest speakers:
Director Nick Colello and Assistant Director Kelsie Potts from MassLINKS Online Academy will talk about this exciting new program. MassLINKS is a free DESE-funded Massachusetts statewide adult education program. Students can choose from High School Equivalency (GED and HiSet) preparation classes or English for Speakers of Other Language (ESOL/ESL) classes. Classes are offered fully online with evening and morning options.
Heidi Larson, Director of SABES Communication Center will ask about your experiences navigating and registering for SABES workshops, and demonstrate navigating the SABES website.
Alexandra Papagno from the Massachusetts Adult Literacy Hotline will discuss their online resources to find local programming, and more! Please email any questions you have for these presenters in advance to bpsmith@hcc.edu
