Overview

Are you considering developing a Workplace Education Program? Come learn about the process of conducting a Workplace Needs Analysis (WNA). We will cover the purpose of conducting a WNA and review the methods and tools typically used. You will begin to work with WNA tools and think about how you will use them with potential employer partners.

Note: This session builds on the 12/1/2022 session Introduction to Workplace Education: Benefits & Lessons Learned, but attendance at the first is not a prerequisite for this session on Workplace Needs Analysis.

  • Adult education directors, teachers, and all staff who want to deepen their understanding of developing a workplace education program with an employer partner

Come to this session to learn about the Workplace Needs Analysis (WNA) process, an essential and required component of developing a successful Workplace Education Program. After exploring the common tools and methods for conducting this process, you will be guided through an activity to think about how you will complete this process with a potential employer partner. Participants will leave with an understanding of some specific next steps they can take to plan for a WNA.

  • Describe the essential elements of the Workplace Needs Analysis process
  • Articulate a process for collecting Workplace Needs Analysis data and authentic materials for your curriculum
