Are you a newly funded adult education program director, or a new director in an existing program? Do you wonder where to begin and what resources and people are available to support you?

At SABES, we strive to be a valuable resource and partner for you and members of your team. This “Meet and Greet” session is designed to provide new directors with an overview of the SABES professional development (PD) system. You will have the opportunity to meet directors from the five SABES centers—Math & Numeracy, English Language Arts (ELA); ESOL; Program Support; and the SABES Communication Center—and begin a conversation about the many ways we can work together in support of high quality programs and student outcomes.

We also want to hear from you! While we will provide you with information about SABES, the primary purpose of this meeting is to build relationships as a first step to creating what we hope will be enduring, collaborative efforts.

This professional development activity/course is designed for:

  • New program directors and leaders who would like to know more about the SABES professional development system and how we can work together

In this 90-minute discussion, you will learn about the SABES PD system, get to meet each of the five centers' directors, and hear about the many types of PD, customized coaching, and other supports that are available to you. You will also have an opportunity to introduce yourself and share what’s happening in your program. In addition, you will get to meet and hear from other new program directors and begin to build your network.

We encourage you to bring specific questions and ideas! If you have topics you would like us to address, please contact Luanne_Teller@worled.org.
