Description

The purpose of this self-paced course is to support teachers and instructional leaders in providing or enabling culturally responsive English language arts instruction in ABE. The engaging materials, including teacher videos, draw from the Massachusetts ELA Proficiency Guide  to explore what effective ELA teachers know and do to cultivate robust learning environments for their adult learners.

Working at your own pace, you will examine key professional standards, use self-assessments to reflect on your own practice, and prioritize professional goals related to ELA instruction.

All new teachers and practitioners who are not yet familiar with the ELA Proficiency Guide and its related tools are encouraged to take this course.

The estimated time to complete this course is four hours.
