Adult and Community Learning Services (ACLS) and UMass Amherst's Center for Educational Assessment (CEA) are holding an informational webinar to discuss what we know about the transition of BEST Plus 2.0 to BEST Plus 3.0 and answer questions from the field.

    Audience

This professional development activity/course is designed for:

  • Currently certified BEST Plus 2.0 test administrators
  • ESOL teachers at all levels
  • ESOL program directors
Description

BEST Plus 3.0 recently received approval from the U.S. ED Office of Technical and Career Education (OCTAE) to be used as an NRS-approved assessment for ESOL Speaking and Listening. All current Massachusetts BEST Plus 2.0 test administrators must certify to administer and score the BEST Plus 3.0 by completing a free, virtual, self-paced test administrator training provided by the test publisher. This training is anticipated to be available in early 2024. Massachusetts BEST Plus 2.0 test administrators who fail to complete the self-paced BEST Plus 3.0 test administrator training will be required to attend a two-day BEST Plus 3.0 training offered by the CEA beginning in August 2024.

The BEST Plus 3.0 Transition — Informational Webinar provided by ACLS and the CEA will be held on Wednesday, December 6th, from 12:30 to 1:30p.m.

The purpose of this informational webinar is to discuss what we know so far about the upcoming transition from version 2.0 to 3.0 and to respond to questions from the field.

Please register to attend this webinar. You will receive an email containing the Zoom link before the scheduled event.
