  • ELA teachers and tutors of students with a variety of learning challenges, including the challenge of learning English
Description

This session presents specific instructional strategies for teaching basic writing skills to struggling writers, particularly students with language-based learning disabilities (LBLD). This session is intended for educators who wish to help students cohesively string sentences together into various forms of paragraph-level written expression.

This is a strategy-heavy session with an array of supplied materials that are readily usable in any class. While designed for students with LBLD, these strategies have also proven helpful for English learner (EL) students and others with a variety of learning challenges.  

Participants will receive 2 PD hours in LACES upon completion of this session.
