Advisor sharing groups are peer-facilitated meetings where advisors provide program updates, discuss and troubleshoot common challenges, and share resources, promising practices, and more. This group is open to anyone who works in an advising role, regardless of their title.

Note: All advisor sharing group meetings, including this one, are open to those doing advising work anywhere in the state. The meeting description will include certain topics or guest speakers, which may be regionally focused. There are 20 meetings a year, so feel free to choose which meetings are most relevant to your context, your region, and your needs.

This professional development activity/course is designed for:

  • Both new and experienced advisors
  • Instructors who play a role in education and career planning who want to share and learn about promising practices and resources

Advisors from any region are welcome to join the Advisor Sharing Group. Let us support each other by sharing resources, strategies, and successes. This meeting hosted by the Boston region is open to those with advising duties anywhere in the state.

Advisors from any region are welcome to join the Boston Advisor Sharing Group. We will talk about program challenges and successes, along with a sharing and brainstorming session about advisor-led activities and community partnerships in our programs. What sort of activities / presentations does your program do to help student success? What types of community partnerships does your program find useful? Come ready to share about your program and to learn from others.

Our guest speaker will be Melissa Theroux from the Boston Public Library to share about the online resources that are available STATEWIDE, such as language learning resources, test prep resources, jobs and skills training, and more!

Several days before the event, Jane Brandt at jane_brandt@worlded.org will send you an email with the Zoom link.
