This new, self-paced course enables ABE instructional leaders to utilize a key resource, the ELA Proficiency Guide, to enhance English Language Arts (ELA) instruction in their programs. Along with the ABE Professional Standards, the ELA Proficiency Guide holds up a vision for effective instruction in ABE, and in this micro-course, you will explore supplemental tools, resources, and PD activities to help guide teachers in using ideas from these documents to shape their own professional practice.

The purpose of this short, self-paced course is to orient instructional leaders on how to use the ABE Professional Standards, as described in the ELA Proficiency Guide, to support ABE teachers in enhancing their ELA practice. Whether you are a program director or a lead instructor, this course will allow you to quickly utilize key resources to foster effective ELA instruction in your program.
When:

- Takes approximately one hour to complete
MA participants earn 1 LACES PD hour by completing all activities.
