Overview

Ready to empower your students to become active learners? In this session, you will explore innovative strategies for implementing inquiry-based learning (IBL). Use Newsela's rich resources to spark curiosity, foster critical thinking, and deepen content knowledge.

    Audience

This professional development activity/course is designed for:

  • Any member of the adult education community who is a Newsela user
Description

In this session, Newsela Professional Learning Specialist Patrick Hurley will strengthen your implementation of inquiry-based teaching and learning with Newsela resources that support the formulation of compelling questions, promote diverse perspectives and critical thinking, and build content knowledge.

Why IBL? An important piece of instruction is putting your learners behind the wheel and encouraging them to pose questions, find answers, and apply their learning. This session will enable you to identify strategies to encourage that transition.

Course Format: The course is online facilitated.
