The Inspiring Career Development and Action (ICA) curriculum is for any adult education or workforce development program that seeks to support learners in exploring and pursuing education and career opportunities while achieving academic and skill development goals. The curriculum covers the complete career planning process in depth and there are an infinite number of ways programs can use and adapt the content. After an interactive tour of the curriculum, you will select a sequence of ICA lessons and activities and work in small groups to identify ways to use them to achieve program objectives and meet the needs of your learners. You will share your selections and adaptations with the large group to spark additional learning and ideas.
Inspiring Career Development and Action is a revised and updated edition based on Integrating Career Awareness into the ABE & ESOL Classroom: Curriculum Guide from the National College Transition Network (NCTN) and SABES.
