Dive into this engaging session and discover how to unlock the full potential of Newsela for your multilingual learners! We'll explore powerful strategies for identifying and scaffolding resources, building word recognition, and promoting language comprehension through dynamic activities. This presentation will show you how to empower your students across all four language domains: reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
By the end of this session, you'll be equipped to confidently navigate Newsela's features and content to find exactly what your students need. You'll also learn how to intentionally select resources to support both their content and linguistic needs, and you'll walk away with a clear plan for creating impactful learning experiences.
Format & Requirements: This course consists of one online synchronous session of 1.5 hours, with no additional required work.
