This professional development activity/course is designed for:
In this session, you will walk through the process of exploring, building, and working within your Newsela account to integrate digital literacy experiences that are appropriate for your students. You'll experience the four steps to designing a learning experience with Newsela: Prepare, Preview, Practice, and Process. You’ll follow each step to design a research-based learning experience proven to accelerate student achievement. This session will include live modeling and independent practice, and will be customized to fit your current curriculum objectives and topics.
Newsela: Designing Learning Experiences & Complementing Your Curriculum will expand on your experiences from the Newsela Certified Educator (NCE) course and support you in piecing all the tools and features together into one cohesive lesson for your learners.
Format & Requirements: This course consists of one online synchronous session of 1.5 hours, with no additional required work.
