Changes to immigration law and policy have been quickly developing under the new administration. Join SABES and the Massachusetts Immigrant & Refugee Advocacy (MIRA) Coalition to discuss the changes that have occurred at the federal and state levels. You will hear what experts expect in terms of upcoming and developing national changes and how these changes may impact Massachusetts immigrant communities.

This session will inform adult education professionals about the latest federal and state immigration policy changes and their impact on students and immigrant communities in Massachusetts. An expert from the MIRA Coalition will provide a presentation and Q&A on future policy trajectories and their implications for immigrant learners in adult education programs. This session will equip you with the knowledge and resources to effectively support your students in navigating the evolving immigration landscape and advocate for policies that protect and support immigrant communities in Massachusetts.
Once you register for this training, you will be sent a form where you can submit your questions to our MIRA Coalition facilitator in advance. By doing this, you will help tailor the training to your needs and ensure they are being met. Please submit your questions by Monday, November 10, at 5 p.m.

Format & Requirements: This course consists of one online synchronous session of 1.5 hours, with no additional required work.
