This webinar is Part 1 of a three-part prerecorded webinar series entitled Resources and Strategies for Enhancing ABE-Workforce Partnerships. This series is intended for ABE programs and community planning partnerships to develop strategies and activities to enhance and strengthen ABE community planning using the ACLS Indicators of Effective Community Planning Coalitions (2013) as well as other research-based approaches to ABE community planning.

Part 1 in this series provides an overview of the collective impact model developed by the FSG (Foundation Strategies Group) in Boston. The collective impact approach to social change is heavily embedded in a February 2015 call to action by the Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education (OCTAE) entitled Making Skills Everyone’s Business – A Call to Transform Adult Learning in the United States. The collective impact approach of social change has also been nationally acclaimed as an effective partnership strategy.
