Is your online PD accessible? If it's within Blackboard, the answer is a resounding “YES!”
When you sign up for online professional development with the SABES ELA and ESOL C&I PD Centers, your courses are hosted within the Blackboard learning management system (LMS) used by Quinsigmanond Community College (and 70% of the community colleges in Massachusetts).
Blackboard Ally, integrated throughout QCC's Blackboard courses, increases accessibility for all users by providing alternative options for how you access course content:
- HMTL for browsers or mobile devices
- ePub for reading on e-book readers (iPad, Kindle, Nook, Kobo, etc.)
- Electronic braille displays
- Audio MP3 version for listening
As you move through the online content, keep an eye open for this symbol in Blackboard: 
This is the icon you can click to see your alternative format options.
Once you select your alternative format, you can click the download button found at the bottom right of the window.
