Luis provides training and technical assistance to ESOL teachers and program staff through English for New Bostonians, SABES, and the School for International Training (SIT), specializing in ESOL Career Pathways, English for Entrepreneurs, ESOL Digital Literacy, and Reflective Teaching. He also delivers training and provides technical assistance to ESOL volunteer tutors, counselors, and other program staff across Massachusetts. He developed and has been facilitating Google Apps training sessions for the SABES ESOL PD Center since 2020.

Luis began his career in TESOL in his hometown, Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. Later, he received a Bachelor’s in English Education and became a Licensed Trainer for the School of International Training (SIT) to teach their TESOL Certificate course. Luis has taught English learners and instructors in the USA, Mexico, Central America, and Southeast Asia.
