This professional development activity/course is designed for:
Formative assessments are doubly important: they inform the instructor and the learner of the learner's understanding of what is being taught while it is being taught.
Whether formal or informal, formative assessments can—and should be—intentionally planned into lessons and tutoring sessions.
In the first of two Zoom sessions (March 7, 1:00–3:00 pm), explore both in-person and remote formative assessments, and make a plan for trying some of the formative assessments. Share the outcomes and your thoughts and questions at the second session (March 21, 1:00–2:00 pm).
