Adult students at the earliest stages of math instruction (numeracy level) need curriculum and instruction tailored to their educational needs. For a variety of reasons, not a lot of information is available about how many students need this level of instruction or what resources are available to them.
The SABES Mathematics and Adult Numeracy C&I PD Center is conducting a survey to help teachers and programs estimate the number of students they see at this level (CCRSAE math level A, GLE K–1) each year. This data will be used as a starting point for a multiyear project to find ways to best support programs and teachers working with numeracy-level students. Come learn more about this project and ask questions about the survey!
