April Zenisky has directed ACLS’ Standardized Assessment Support project at UMass Amherst since 2018; in addition, she has served as lead psychometrician and project manager for the Massachusetts Adult Proficiency Test (MAPT) since 2003.  In the College of Education at UMass, April is Research Professor of Education and Director of the Center for Educational Assessment. She currently serves as co-editor of the journal Practical Assessment, Research, and Evaluation (PARE) and Secretary-General of the International Test Commission, and her research on results reporting, standard setting, technology-enhanced item formats, and computer-adaptive testing has been presented nationally and internationally, as well as published in numerous book chapters and peer-reviewed journals.
