This professional development activity/course is designed for:
This is a one-hour session. We will begin with a review of definitions of accommodations in law, in education, and in politics of disability. Next, we will familiarize ourselves with the allowable accommodations for each assessment based on the published materials and additional research completed by the facilitator. Finally, we will review the accommodation request procedures for each assessment.
Extending Your Learning: Andjela Kaur is a disability studies scholar whose work examines the relationship between workers with disabilities and the vocational rehabilitation systems worldwide. She is a Motivational Interviewing (MI) trainer specializing in using MI in workforce development and adult education programs. Andjela is available for program-based coaching.
