PSPD offers individual and program-based coaching for staff in any role looking to grow and strengthen their practice in any of our key priority areas, which include educational leadership and program management, advising, career pathways, digital literacy, and ADA coordination. We also offer individual coaching and support for those looking to acquire a professional ABE license. If interested, please submit a Contact Us request.

Professional Development: “On Demand” When Your Schedule Allows! (Self-Paced Modules)

Different times work best for busy adult educators to attend PD. Did you know you can access PD when it’s most convenient for you? Visit our online asynchronous courses, including series that focus on Digital Literacy and Advising. You can find these courses on the Program Support's On-Demand PD Google Site, which offers more than 30 sessions organized according to seven strands.

MassSTEP Sharing Group Meeting

This is a facilitated sharing group for anyone involved in developing and implementing MassSTEP programs. Meetings are loosely facilitated to encourage peer sharing, resource sharing, and group problem-solving. Topics are based on participant input. All roles are welcome. The topic for this meeting is: MassSTEP Accessibility.

Build or Improve Your MassSTEP Curriculum

There is a lot that goes into developing a successful MassSTEP curriculum. The idea is to seamlessly integrate and contextualize academic skills, workforce preparation activities, and workforce training into a curriculum that meets student and employer needs. Some find that easier said than done! 

This two-part series has been designed to provide your program with curriculum strategies and examples, as well as the opportunity to receive feedback on your MassSTEP curriculum and learning objectives. Programs in any stage of curriculum development are welcome.

Support Staff Sharing Group

The Support Staff Sharing Group is a peer-facilitated opportunity for support staff to provide program updates, discuss and troubleshoot common challenges, and share resources, promising practices, and more. This group is open to anyone who works in an adult education program who provides support staff services.

Art of Advising (Self-Paced)

The Art of Advising introduces practical tools, strategies, and approaches for staff whose primary responsibility is advising. Content and activities focus on effective practices aligned with Indicator of Program Quality #7 (IPQ7). IPQ7 addresses the equitable delivery of advising and support services to help students identify and make progress towards educational and career goals. While this offering is geared towards staff who are new to the advisor role, it can also benefit experienced advisors seeking to refresh their knowledge and skills.
