Did you know that participating in Beginning Curriculum for Adults Learning Math (BeCALM) professional development can earn you Professional Development Points (PDPs) towards state licensure?

The following professional development events (in conjunction with other requirements, see PDP information packet linked below) are eligible to count towards earning BeCALM Professional Development Points (PDPs):

Introduction to BeCALM (self-paced online, 4 hrs) REQUIRED

Plus any combination of the following online facilitated workshops:

  • BeCALM Number Sense: Curriculum for Beginning Math Learners (GLE 2-4) (1.5 hrs)
  • BeCALM Operation Sense: Curriculum for Beginning Math Learners (GLE 2-4) (1.5 hrs)
  • BeCALM Multiplication Concepts: Curriculum for Beginning Math Learners (GLE 2-4) (1.5 hrs)
  • BeCALM Division Concepts: Curriculum for Beginning Math Learners (GLE 2-4) (1.5 hrs)
  • BeCALM Geometry: Curriculum for Beginning Math Learners (GLE 2-4) (1.5 hrs)
  • BeCALM Measurement and Data: Curriculum for Beginning Math Learners (GLE 2-4) (1.5 hrs)
  • BeCALM Benchmark Fractions: Curriculum for Beginning Math Learners (GLE 2-4) (1.5 hrs)
  • Teaching Word Problems to Beginning Math Learners (two workshops, 1.5 hrs each)
  • Numeracy Routines That Develop Language (1.25 hrs)

BeCALM individual or group coaching time is also eligible.

A minimum of 10 professional development hours in this sequence must be reached to be eligible for PDPs.
