Ava is currently the Director of Operations for Webster Adult Basic Education Linkages/Webster Public Schools and has also previously  served as the Assistant Director of Curriculum and Instruction. She has more than ten years of experience in education, including higher education, K-12 education, and adult basic education. Ava received her bachelor's degrees in Chemistry and Sociology from SUNY Geneseo and her master’s degree in Sociology from UMASS Amherst. She has published in TRAILS, MELUS, and Acta Crystallographica. In addition, Ava has presented on topics including universal design for learning, instructional technology, artificial intelligence and education, racial and religious identity, political movements, social stratification, and immigrant acculturation.
