ADA

Equity and access for learners should be at the core of every decision we make regarding program models. The PSPDC supports programs in complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for online and blended learning models. This Accessibility Resource List consists of recommendations and tools to ensure that all online learning content is accessible for students according to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, drawing from Cast’s Designing for Accessibility approach. We also recognize that the effects of trauma impact a learner’s ability to learn and engage, both online and in-person. Read about how trauma impacts adult learners. This fall, we are offering a session on how to develop trauma-formed programs and advising practices as a way to help all program staff recognize trauma in online and in-person spaces and practice good self-care so that they can continue to support students.
