Invitation to all advisors and adult education staff interested in helping students navigate cliff effects. Join the Career Coaches CoP for a webinar entitled A New Tool to Help Navigate Cliff Effects, on June 8th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Understanding the impact of cliff effects on participants is complex and challenging. Cliff effects look different depending on family composition and what benefits a family has access to. Learn about a new tool, developed by the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and Springfield Works, that coaches and advisors can use with participants to help them navigate public benefits and avoid cliff effects.
Presenters will include: Anne Kandilis, Springfield WORKS/Working Cities Challenge Initiative Director for the Economic Development Council of Western Mass., and Alexander Ruder, Principal Advisor for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. They will share how they developed the tool and provide a demonstration of it.
This Career Coaches Community of Practice session is presented by SkillWorks and the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley. It is presented in partnership with the Massachusetts Workforce Association and Massachusetts Association for Community Action (MASSCAP).
