Teaching is messy, under the best of circumstances. When you add on a transition from in-person classes to online instruction, it can be downright overwhelming!
Nicole McNeil is an adult education practitioner in Massachusetts who teaches multiple classes of students at varying levels. In this video, produced by the SABES Mathematics and Adult Numeracy C&I PD Center, she draws on her own recent teaching experiences as she shares strategies for building community in online math classes while being open about the challenges of remote instruction. Watch and listen to how she has kept her focus on the students while learning to navigate new technologies and other challenges of remote teaching herself.
