The SABES ELA C&I PD Center has created the ELA Proficiency Guide as a companion document to the Massachusetts Professional Standards for Teachers of Adult Education, providing concrete ideas on how to interpret and apply the Professional Standards in the content area of ELA. Together, the Professional Standards and the ELA Proficiency Guide provide a coherent picture of what effective teaching in an adult education ELA classroom looks like.
