The SABES Program Support PD Center (PSPDC) and Center for Educational Assessment (CEA) have teamed up with four program educators who will share their experiences and lessons learned from developing and implementing solutions to this year’s challenges related to planning, administering, and scoring NRS assessments remotely.

This professional development activity/course is designed for:
In the fall, you likely found yourself tackling a new process of administering NRS assessments remotely. We have learned from those challenges, and many programs have found creative ways to plan for, administer, and score the assessments from a distance.
What do we know now that we didn’t know then? A lot! This 90-minute workshop will feature presentations from four panelists to help you start now, think ahead, and implement a plan that will enable you to capture as many of your learners’ measurable skills gains as possible.
April Zenisky from the CEA and PSPDC Director Luanne Teller will facilitate presentations from the following four panelists, with lots of opportunity for questions and answers:
- Josh Cornehlsen, Holyoke Community College
- Janet Fischer, Lawrence Public Schools Adult Learning Center
- Sarah Poole, International Learning Center, YMCA of Greater Boston
- Jeannine Terra, Bristol Community College

Upon completion of this professional development activity/course, you will be able to:
Participants will need to have familiarity with the NRS assessments administered at their programs, and an understanding of the steps before, during, and following test administration.
