Overview

Thanks to the partnership between the SABES Program Support PD Center and the EdTech Center at World Education, we are pleased to share this invitation for you to join the next Distance Education Strategy Session.

Delivering effective integrated education and training (IET) remotely can be an especially challenging task. Over the past year, many IET programs have struggled to integrate relevant technologies used at work and to provide meaningful remote instruction for hands-on training concepts such as occupational safety.

During our first lightning talk, we’ll learn how David Hilder from So Others May Eat in Washington, DC, has developed innovative, engaging lessons using Google Classroom to provide lessons that develop occupational skills while seamlessly integrating math skills and digital skills.

During our second lightning talk, Darryl Robinson and Troy Shockley from Congress Heights, also in Washington, DC, will share how they are using video and a mix of in-person and remote training demonstrations to effectively provide technical skills training to all learners.

To Register: This session is offered by the EdTech Center at World Education. You will register here instead of on the SABES Calendar.
